About VIC Tenders

What this site is

VIC Tenders is an independent discovery layer for government tender opportunities across Victoria. It exists because Victorian suppliers have to watch a state portal plus 79 separate council procurement pages to see everything relevant to them, and almost nobody does that consistently.

The site does one job: put publicly advertised notices from those buyers into a single list you can scan quickly, then link you back to the buyer's own process. It does not run procurement, receive submissions, evaluate bids, or influence outcomes in any way.

What it covers

Scope is Victoria — metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, state agencies and local councils. It is not a national tender source, and it does not narrow to Melbourne alone.

Coverage depends on what buyers publish publicly. Work bought through closed panels, standing arrangements or direct engagement below a buyer's tendering threshold is generally not advertised, and so will not appear here or on any aggregator.

Independence and affiliation

VIC Tenders is a private commercial website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Victorian Government, the Department of Government Services, the Buying for Victoria portal, or any Victorian council. No government body reviews, approves or contributes to the content here.

You cannot lodge a submission through this site. Every tender response goes through the buying agency's own portal and process.

Who operates it

The site is built and maintained by Tendor, an Australian tender intelligence company operated by Compliance0 Pty Ltd (ABN 32 687 131 479). Tendor supplies the data pipeline behind the listings and owns the editorial content on this site — the category descriptions, FAQs and guidance are written and reviewed by the Tendor team, not generated from the tender data.

Where the data comes from

Listings are aggregated from publicly advertised tender notices published by Victorian government agencies and Victorian councils. Data refreshes on a rolling basis rather than in a fixed nightly batch, and a snapshot of recent notices is built into each page so the list is present in the page source rather than loaded only after JavaScript runs.

Buyer names, categories and closing dates are reproduced from the source notice. Notices are not edited, re-ranked, sponsored or removed on request from any supplier or buyer.

Limits you should know about

Aggregated data can lag the source, miss a notice, or carry a stale closing date after a buyer issues an addendum. The buying agency's official notice is always the authoritative version and is the one to rely on for scope, conditions of participation, addenda and the actual closing time.

Corrections

If a listing on this site is wrong, out of date, or should not be here, tell us and we will look into it. Corrections to the underlying notice still need to go to the buying agency, since this site reflects what they published.
